This fish gave powerful runs. Optimal temperature
for growth and muscle performance has been seen to be around sixty eight
degrees F. This is our present water temp. A twenty five pound carp has
lots of gusto at this time and outfights larger fish in mid-summer temperatures.
Huge carp in lakes suspend below the thermoclines at this strata. Lakes
in America have the kind of temperatures and depths to realize huge growth
potential. Lakes in continental Europe do also. Lake Raduta comes to mind.
We have one hundred pound carp in our Great Lakes. When numbers of anglers
begin fishing for them, we will see them on the bank.
In this regard, no other country has such resources.
