Here we encountered the massive footprints of a bull moose. Mike
pressed his big human footprint alongside for comparison.
We were attracted to this spot because there was a picnic table left
for the use of anglers. The spot was very attractive on our sonar as it
graded nicely into the deep water of the channel. We landed into deep sucking
mud which dissuaded our exploration as a possible site as landing would
best be accomplished with a smaller boat. We also ruled out night fishing
here due to the presence of the moose which could be hazardous to our lives.
