Here is a section of the power plant complex and Robert Moses state park.(1) Near the Long Sault dam is the boat basin or Robert Moses marina. Bathrooms, picnic area, parking and gas is to be had. There is a launch fee. Good carping is to be had all around the area. Some areas may be restricted by the power authority, so ask at the visitors centers. Marked (2) is the Hawkins point overlook which is a good bank spot. A boat launch for small craft is found there also, without fee. This can be incredible fishing below the dam as monster big carp are often feeding on what comes through the turbines. The shore on the overlook side is shallow so long casts need to be made but if they are biting the results can be unpredictably rewarding. Camper/ boaters will enjoy the whole complex. Need a guide. The only reliable guide I can recommend is Bernie Haines who operates in this area and can put you on to fish. The other guide service I am familiar with and do not recommend to the American carp angler.
