Growth of Carp A
study of carp growth utilizing ichthyological and ecological resources
to help determine where
large carp can be located. Utilizes the balanced energy equation to determine
the variables
affecting carp growth.
A brief history of carp in
North America As appeared in the North American Carp Angler,
the
publication of the Carp Anglers Group.
Biodiversity, the Lake
A much needed and beautiful study in flora and fauna that most anglers
need, to
understand the trophic levels that carp feed upon. The anglers knowledge
base in
this area is sorely lacking. Presenting the Lake.
Biodiversity, the River Understand the life in
the river and how it relates to each other. The carp is among
the most successful fish in this ecosystem. The river is a hostile
environment compared
to the lake.
The Big Fish This
is a true story (kinda). It is intended to inform and entertain with a
view to catching larger carp.
It is not the end all of instruction on catching big carp. However some
real progress is being made in
this area. The Carp Research Team and the Carp Anglers Group has joined
in a think tank with many
of the most notable carp anglers in the US and abroad. This study of the
behavior of larger fish and
techniques to catch them on tackle is ongoing. This information will be
shared among the Carp Anglers
Group and is a good incentive to join the organization.
Glucose Utilization The
primary fuel of the carp is stored lipids or fats, but they do have
a sweet tooth.
