St. Lawrence August 24-28 1999
This trip is a field testing trip. The idea here is for research
of the river. Exploration of the river using navigational charts and sonar
to locate potential areas for holding large fish potential. We enjoyed
mild weather. We did some night fishing and exploration of some of the
island complexes. We got in the water and struggled to get our runabout
out of some sucking muck on some of the islands. We escaped some fearful
territorial moose on one occasion. Some fishing sites selected were passed
over for night fishing because of fear of a moose raiding our campsite.
